What is a VESSEL?

-A vessel basically and literally is a CONTAINER that holds usually LIQUID

-It is also a PERSON that has a PARTICULAR PECULIAR QUALITY.

1) Take interest in the word CONTAIN. It depicts the SPACE potential of a vessel. It also addresses the concept of AVAILABILITY. Anything rated as a vessel that cannot have
(a) SPACE &      
(b) AVAILABILITY
is not a vessel. It can't contain. Let me ask you a question at this point. Can you contain? When you can answer this question in the affirmative then can we think of ourselves as Vessels.

In John 2:7 Jesus says "...FILL the vessels/pots...". You can't fill anything that has no SPACE.

In 2 Kings 4:3 Elisha said "...go BORROW vessels...". You can only borrow when it is AVAILABLE.
When u read further u hear the prophet say again "...borrow...even EMPTY vessels..". He depicts SPACE with the word EMPTY. Jesus used the word FILL.

2) I also love particularly the use of WATER(LIQUID) in the definition. Ask me why.
When solid stuff is put in a container, the concept of  TOTAL OCCUPANCY is defeated. You will find air spaces with SOLID materials in the container. However, when water (LIQUID) is put in a container, the occupancy capacity is at maximum utilization. No free space. Jesus said FILL TO THE BRIM (Jn 2:7). Nothing fills to brim like water.
Now Jesus, in  John 7:38 puts it this way " ...out of your belly shall flow rivers (water/liquids)..." In this case, though you do not hear the scriptures use the word "vessel", but in dividing the word of truth, that belly is a first class definition of a vessel.

*The lesson I wish to unveil here is the hidden parts of the definition of a vessel and it's ability to allow full occupancy. Therefore, it is not a vessel enough or at all if it is not designed for absolute occupancy (=SPACE +AVAILABILITY). Simply put...a vessel does not share in its space. All of its SPACE is designed to be AVAILABLE to external occupancy.
